Photographed three decades after the 1986 disaster, the frames hold the weight of silence, abandonment, and invisible trauma. Reactor No. 4—now sealed beneath the sarcophagus—looms as both monument and wound, a reminder of human ambition, error, and the long shadows they cast. Photographs of the interior and exterior of Chernobyl Nuclear Plant, one month before being covered by the sarcophagus. The building and reactor won't be visible anymore.
