Captured in 2016, this series documents the abandoned trains and railway infrastructure within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Once part of the region’s vital transportation network, the trains now stand idle—forgotten and decaying in the shadow of the nuclear disaster. The photographs focus on the surreal presence of rusting locomotives, empty carriages, and overgrown tracks, frozen in time as nature slowly reclaims them. The interplay of steel, dust, and vegetation speaks to the eerie stillness of a place once filled with movement, now suspended in quiet decay. Chernobyl Trains highlights the contrast between industrial power and the unrelenting passage of time, revealing an unsettling beauty in what was left behind.
